The Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC) is one of the five regional Commissions of the United Nations. It was founded in 1948 with the purpose of contributing to the region's economic and social development. The internship in the International Trade and Integration Division in ECLAC, Santiago, Chile will last 3 to 6 months, depending on the needs of the Office. The intern will support the team in legal research activities related to national regulations of different types of digitally enabled services trade by countries in Latin America and the Caribbean. Daily responsibilities will depend on the individual's background and the internship period. Duties may include: · Compiles, research and gather information from a wide variety of (legal) sources. · Collects and organize data. · Processing data and statistics. · Identify, interpret, analyze and format data and statistics. · Summarizes pertinent material. · Attending and summarizing conferences and meetings. · Prepares input for electronic databases and the internet. · Prepares charts, graphs and other outputs for reporting and presentation of various data. · Builds special data sets for specific research needs or for reports.
